SCIENCE
ENERGY

The thing I grew in was energy. I know this because at the beginning of the year we did a pretest about everything we will learn this year. I didn’t know much on that test. Now I know a lot more because we have learned about energy and I know the names for them how they transfer energy from one thing to another. If I took that pretest at the end of the year I bet I would get a way better grade than last time. Another reason I grew was because of the foldable. The foldable was something we did in class we would write down what types of energy like if they were kinetic or Potential then we would draw pictures, definitions, and what affects them. For example I know that kinetic energy is when something is moving and gravitational energy is when something is elevated.
For the Foldable we had to first cut and fold it to make it so the flaps would go up so you could see the definitions of the types of energy’s when you lifted them. Then we had to get a blue and green colored pencil so we could color code it. After that we wrote down types of energy like elastic energy, kinetic energy, gravitational energy, and thermal energy. And every time we learn a new type of energy we wrote it down in the foldable so if we get confused we can look at that.
For my first artifact I choose my foldable from science class because in this you can see all the energy I have learned about. You can see I have learned about them because if you open the flaps and see the definitions you will see they are all correct. First we would have to cut out and glue 2 pieces of paper together. Then we would choose if it was a type of kinetic energy or a type of gravitational energy. After that we would write down the definitions of the energy and draw pictures to help us understand them. Then we would write down what affected them.
For my second artifact I have chosen my Homework 8.4- Energy Types and Their Factors. I chose this because i got an almost perfect grade i got a 9.5 out of 10 and this shows i really know my energy because I did really good at it. Basiclly what we had to do for this was list what factors effected energy.
