What have you grown in this year completing assignments? Math? At the beginning of the year I wasn’t very good at completing assignments. At the end of the year I got way better. I got better because I started to understand the math and what I was supposed to be doing because I was getting extra help outside of school. Getting help outside of school really helped me in math. This year in math class I have grown in completing assignments and understanding algebra problems.

 

My first artifact for this growth is my solving linear equations worksheet. This worksheet shows growth because I got every single problem correct. I got all the problems correct and completed the worksheet because I had help and I had finally figured out how to do it. If I hadn’t know how to do the worksheet I probably would have blown it off or came up with random answers, but since I had help from my parents and some teachers I figured out all the problems and got a 100% on the worksheet. My artifact that I’ll be talking about in my next paragraph wasn’t very good I got all the problems wrong and I didn’t do some of them which shows I wasn’t very good at completing assignments. With this artifact though I got all the problems correct and did them all. The goal of this assignment was to practice completing linear equations. This worksheet helped because now I know how to them for example when you have a linear equation you have to find the answer to X by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing on both sides which is where like terms comes into play like terms is when you can only add or subtract to the same numbers. You can only add or subtract x and x # and # or x2 and x2 and that’s like terms.

 

My second artifact is my CSI worksheet that I also got a 100% on. This shows growth because i got a 100% and i didnt just blow it off like i did before because i thought it was to hard. It also shows growth because to complete this i put a lot of work into it. First i looked on pilot (out school site for students). Then i searched on the internet on how to do those type of problems and when i tried really hard i got a 100%. For the CSI worksheet we had to figure out a math mystery by solving problems and then connecting them together to figure out the mystery.

 

This will be really good for me in the future because if I want a job or a college degree I can’t slack off and not do the work. If I get a job they will fire me if I don’t do all the work I’m supposed to. So it’s good I grew in this because if I hadn’t I wouldn’t of had a job or a college degree.
