What have you grown in this year studying about maps? History? I definitely have grown in both of those. Before I give you some evidence you’re probably wondering what a reflection is? A reflection is supposed to shows how we grew over the year and what kind of evidence we have for that growth. This year I think I have grown in studying for my map quizzes in history.

 

My first artifact is my study cards i made to study for map quizes. These shows growth because without these i would of had no other way to study and probaly would have failed. These also show growth because they show i tried and really cares about getting a good grade on these map quizes because i studied a lot with these. The way i made these study cards is i had the picture of the state and on the back i would have the name of it. First i would spell it in my head or on a piece of paper then check to see if what i though or wrote was correct.

 

My second artifact is my second map quiz. You can see I got a much better grade on this quiz. I got a much better grade because I studied for 2 hours. Since I studied for 2 hours I got an A which is way better. I didn’t want to get another bad grade and fail history so I knew I had to study if I wanted an A I studied for a longer time than last time and got an A. I have gotten A’s on all of my other map quizzes just for studying for 1 hour or an hour and a half. I studied by using websites there would be an American map with all the states and I would have to click on the state the website told me to and then spell the name of the state and this helped me a lot because I knew where all the states were and how to spell them which is exactly what I needed to know for example I know how to spell Kentucky Nevada California Florida Tennessee Massachusetts and all the other states and I know that Washington is in the top left Oregon is under it and Idaho is next to Oregon those are the kinds of things I have learned from taking map quizzes and I can name all the states spell all the states and tell you where they are on the map.

 

So this will help me in the future because if I need to travel somewhere for a family trip or travel for the air force I will know where all the states are and where to go. Studying is also going to help me in the future because in college and high school I’m going to need to study a lot so I don’t fail then get into a bad college or get a bad job. So growing in map quizzes and studying this year is going to be very useful for my future.
