10th Entry One

This year at the Dayton Regional STEM School, I have had many strengths that have all helped me evolve as a human, although this year I have one particular strength I want to talk about. This year I have strengthened my vocabulary, specifically my vocab tests in Language Arts through my study habits. Throughout this reflection, I will explain how I got better at studying and how my scores on vocabulary test are consistently higher.

Now, my evidence shows how I have come to strengthen my vocab test and study habits.  My first example are the vocab tests. Every week in Language Arts, we have a vocab test on Friday. We start with 25 words and every week we get 25 more. The first week we do a test strictly on the 25 new words we have gotten. Then every other week we do a review test, which is 50 words from every list. I strengthened my vocab test by studying every day from Monday to Friday. Before 10th grade, I usually would not study for anything because I did not like it. These vocab tests really helped me study in my Biology and History classes. The way I would study would be to use Quizlet. When using Quizlet, I can use electronic flash cards to study on my phone wherever I want. This strength of studying really helped me in vocab specifically because on most of my tests I have gotten at least a 90%. Those high-test scores prove that I have studied and that I have a strength in studying.

Since I studied so hard on these vocab test my vocabulary has gotten better and bigger and the bigger your vocabulary the smarter you are. This strength will help me in the future for a job I might have or for college. It will help me in college because I will need to study for big test I might have. It will help me at a job in case I might need to memorize talking points for a presentation. I think we all know that studying is an important part of life and it will definitely help me succeed in my future.
